The Scenario

Our intervention is divided into 3 phases:
     - Phase 1 Mobile Booths
     - Phase 2 Feedback and Public Consultations
     - Phase 3 Community Centre

1. Phase 1 - Mobile Booths

After discussing what strategy would be the most productive for this project, we have decided to begin our project implementation by introducing Mobile Booths. These are mobile units, which will travel around Otwock on defined routes for 1 year, will provide activities and offer services adequate to the potential needs and wants of the community of Otwock. They will act as attractors for the locals to take interest in potential activities and services and to create awareness about the upncoming changes in their town. They will have additional services proposed by us as to enrich the programme. After each month the Mobile Booths will travel to another destination, crossing paths with each other, thanks to which the services and activities will be in reach for every single inhabitant in every zone.

Calendar of events and activities in each booth are listed below:

2. Phase 2 - Feedback and Public Consultations

After Phase 1 (1 year) is concluded a series of Public Consultation sessions will start. These will be conducted monthly, with predicted 12 meetings, and will involve the inhabitants, as well as Otwock's officials. The discussions will determine which services and activities, that were provided by the Mobile Booths, were most successful and sought after by the inhabitants. The public will have an opportunity to voice their opinions on whether the workshops provided by us were useful in any way, propose changes into the programme provided in the Booths, as well as propose their desired activities and services that will eventually be incorporated into the programme of the Community Centre, the construction of which will commence after the cycle of consultations will conclude.

3. Phase 3 - Community Centre

Our final step in the implementation process is a multifunctional Community Centre. The final programme of this place will be determined after the consultations with the public. We predict that it will include activities and services from the Mobile Booths, as well as the ones that emerged at the public meetings. The Community Centre will be the heart of the new Public Square, where this mixture of different activities and events will take place, and the people of Otwock will have a coherent plaza with additional cafe, green organised seating space, urban staircase, water fountain, generally a place for recreation and relaxation.
